Birkhill Castle: Garden

The walled garden is 2.5 acres and is laid out as a traditional Scottish Victorian garden. There is half and acre of vegetables and fruit and huge greenhouses with grapes, figs, white peaches, nectarines and apricots which are brought to the house each day by the gardener Graham. There is a 10 acre famous woodland garden. There are Magnolias 100 feet tall and rare Rhododendrons. A bubbly brook makes its way through the woodland garden and out to the silvery Tay.
